YC College
YC College is a private adult education facility in Busan, South Korea. The students range from 16 years old to around 60 years old. They study conversational English so they can live and work in other countries. At YC College we don't have set classrooms. Instead our classes use classrooms based upon their needs. For example, the rooms with projectors are used for presentation classes. The pictures below some simple classrooms. However, these rooms are where only a portion of the learning happens.
At YC a lot of learning happens outside of the classroom. We have monthly parties during which students interact with each other and instructors and perform tasks. The videos contains highlights from our Christmas party and cocktail party, both of which were designed to simulate activities the students might have to experience while working or studying in other countries. The below pictures show (from left to right): The pizza party after our Halloween scavenger hunt, the output from our team cooking competition, and a surfing class.

Kyungsung University- Footwear Young Lions
My classroom at KSU is decorated by various FYL internship group photos from all over the world. The goal is to let students see their eventual goal going forward. The classroom is arranged for small group discussion and interview groups as they focus on small group activities and job interview skills. The pictures below all show these activities. The room is one of the few classrooms at KSU that isn't designed to be a lecture hall. As Korea changes, so must its classrooms.
Chungdahm Learning
The Chungdahm class is centered around the students' tabs and the televisions in the classroom. For this reason, I have focused on the output that ends up being shown in class instead of posters and other things. The first picture shows the students ability to respond to questions via their tabs and self-assess in comparison with their own answers. The second image is of the teachers ability to annotate in real time and teach meta-cognitive strategies. The final picture is of a student created personal project that was then beamed to the other students to be assessed.
All images on this page are owned by the author with the exception of the surfing picture which is from YC College's facebook page and the videos which can be found on YouTube.
