A Brief Personal Biography

I became a teacher because I like learning new things. Answering my students’ questions and creating lessons allows me to be a lifelong learner. If I had to describe my work in one word I’d say “student-centered”. Yes, I know it is really two words but I try to keep my classes focused on the students and their needs. In our classes, I expect the students to share their ideas and goals so I can help them develop them. My teaching style is based on student-centered and active learning. I want students to be able to use their experiences and talk about themselves and their ideas. I also want them to be able to practice the skills we learn in class in situations that could possibly happen.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our dogs, Lily and Logan. Together we enjoy going for walks, spending time at the beach and reading. Thankfully, in Busan we can accomplish all of those at the same time. |
